CITIZEN SOCIAL SCIENTISTS AND THE LONDON PROSPERITY BOARD

Citizen science is at the forefront of the London Prosperity Board’s research and action.

Since 2015, IGP has worked with teams of citizen scientists - people who are trained to work as social researchers in their neighbourhoods. Citizen scientists are trained by UCL’s Citizen Science Academy, based at the IGP, where they work as members of the research team. Citizen scientists are involved in co-designing research: setting research questions, designing research and collecting data, analysing and interpreting findings, producing research outputs, and presenting research to communities, policymakers, researchers, and businesses. Find out more about the Citizen Science Academy and research carried out by the citizen social scientists.
